Preventing Engagement in Youth Crime

Empowering students with the skills and knowledge to avoid youth crime

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the impact of youth crime and provide skills to help them avoid making negative choices.

Students will explore:
•    The causes of youth crime
•    The criminal age of responsibility 
•    Knife crime awareness
•    What is joint enterprise?
•    Interventions in place to divert young people away from crime
•    What is the Youth Offending Service and what do they do?

Workshops will include – discussion, practical & physical activities, individual & group work and use of multimedia.

Cost:
The cost is based on two group workshop per morning or afternoon for 6 weeks and can accommodate small groups or whole class. The workshop is delivered in school at an agreed date and time.
