Support Services

One to One Supportive Supervision

Supportive supervision provides staff with regular, planned support to develop their knowledge, skills and practice. It provides an opportunity to discuss sensitive issues and concerns as well as reflect on practice and identify any learning or development needs. Sessions can be one to one or for small groups/teams.
Supervision helps to reduces staff burn out, stress and time off work for stress related illness

Learning Mentor Peer Group Supervision

This termly forum is a space for staff in similar roles supporting the challenging needs of children and young people and families to come together and develop their practice through networking and sharing good practice.

Learning Mentors have an opportunity to present a case to the group followed by discussion and sharing of ideas to resolve the issues or concerns raised.

SENCO Peer Group Supervision

Peer group supervision gives members a forum to present a case/issue or concern to their peers who then discuss and provide solutions, suggestions and/or support.  A variety of discussions models are available to enable the best outcomes from the discussions are achieved.   

SENCOs gain new or enhanced ideas and perspective for their work, reflect on management and work styles, empathy and support for difficult situations as well as exchange knowledge to enhance personal and professional practice.
